"Reunion Concert" - Scranton Cultural Center
Post-Concert: a message from Glass Prism
Well it's been a month since the Show and we are still getting responses, best wishes and encouragement just about every day. It's truly amazing. We can't tell you how grateful we are to everyone involved with the show, everyone who helped out, everyone who participated in some way, and of course everyone who attended. There were also those who could not attend for personal reasons, distance, commitments, etc. but still contacted us on the day of the show through email, calls, etc. to wish us the best.

HOW DID THIS REUNION EVER HAPPEN? You know, for The El Caminoes, The Glass Prism, Shenandoah, the days of our youth will always be remembered as pretty good times. We got to play music, make people happy, be creative. Here was this opportunity to "DO IT AGAIN, AND MAYBE, JUST MAYBE MAKE SOMEONE SMILE." We looked out into the audience and sure enough, we saw the smiles. What a moment in time. It will stay in our minds forever.

In October of 2007 we went to Philadelphia for the Edgar Allen Poe National Historic site and did our first show in over 3 decades after just 8 rehearsals. This 60 minute show was a pretty good trial run for bringing The Glass Prism back to the stage at the Scranton Cultural Center. The plan was to do a full 90 plus minute show. This show would take months to prepare, choosing material, concepts, arrangements, etc.

We understand the show lasted 2 hours and 6 minutes. That was approximately what we calculated it to be.
Every song was chosen specifically. Every arrangement was thought out. Harmonies were developed. We weren't trying to copy but to enhance. We hoped our efforts would pay off. We aimed high.

We just want to really say "thank you" to everybody connected with the event. It was our first time together on the stage at The Scranton Cultural Center in exactly 40 years. To pull this off we needed help and support from our family, friends and our great fans.

A very special thanks to everyone who attended the event and made us feel welcome.

The following list are some of the people that we feel played a big role in our "comeback." We hope that we wont forget anyone.

Starting with The Philly show, we really want to thank those connected with the EAP National Historic Site for helping to plant the seed. Helen Mc Kenna-Uff and staff. Sharon Knoeff and staff from the German Society Theater. Stephen Demczuk from the Baltimore Washington Beer works, one of our sponsors. They make The Raven Beer. Sponsor, Bella Vista of Philadelphia. Your kind words mean so much to us. You all are our inspiration.

Question: Will there be more?
Answer: Keep watching.

Our love to all.

Post-Concert: a message from Glass Prism

To Family, Friends and Fans,

We just want to say "thank you" to everybody connected with the event. It was our first time together on stage in over 36 years and to pull this off we needed help and support from our family and friends.

A special thanks to everyone who attended the event and made us feel welcome:

Helen Mc Kenna-Uff - Helen from the Edgar Allen Poe National Historic Site and with the Friends of Poe Society did a fabulous job as Edgar Allen Poe as well as helping to organize the event. Without Helen there would not have been an event.

Renee DeMarco - Renee opened the show with Lenore and did a great job.

The GS9's - They are also from the Edgar Allen Poe National Historic Site and did a great job warming up the audience.

Sharon Knoeff, Hardy and Helga from the German Society of Pennsylvania welcomed us into their theater and made us feel comfortable. Just a great setting for our performance.

Bob Ross - Bob is a producer from Saille Vision and was kind enough to begin filming a documentary on The Glass Prism which will be completed some time in the not to distant future.

Jim Rising - Jim is from radio station WDMT 102.3 The Mountain in Scranton PA. He produced the commercial that you can hear on www.myspace.com/glassprism It was aired many times. The Mountain also played songs from the Poe Through The Glass Prism album.

They make The Raven Beer and Stephen and his distributor, Bella Vista in Philadelphia (thanks to Jordan for delivering the cases) were kind enough to give away bottles of The Raven Beer to everyone of age at the show. You can link to their web sites through ours.

Mike Soltis - Mike made transportation arrangements to bus many fans from the Scranton area. He also was supportive in many other ways.

Jack Mead - Jack of Main Street Music Store in Scranton took the time to help sell tickets.

Sammy Devita - Sammy of Sarno and Sons in Scranton was kind enough to sponsor us and outfit us by special arrangement.

Josh Mc Auliffe - Josh is the writer from the Scranton Times Tribune who spent time interviewing us and did a great piece which made the cover of the Entertainment Section. You can read it on our web site: http://www.glassprilsmband.com
